Step into the perfumed parlors of Chicago’s Everleigh Club, the most famous brothel in American history and a catalyst for a culture war that rocked the nation. Ms. Abbott’s novel explores the infamous Everleigh sisters, the Grandes Dames of Chicago’s underworld. Join Dr. Amy Lippert, for a lively discussion about this fascinating novel, placing it within the context of Gilded Age Chicago’s volatile socio-political and moral milieu.

Book is available for purchase in the Museum Store. Coffee, tea, and pastries/cookies will be served. Due to the popularity of this program, advance ticket purchase highly recommended.
