From setting the scenes of Downton Abbey to fashioning the award winning sets of The King’s Speech, Jude Farr has worked with some of the most iconic directors and actors of the past 30 years.  We welcome Ms. Farr as she shares her stories about designing historically accurate sets to her creative process and the collaboration needed while developing the production. Ms. Farr will take us through her day-to-day work process beginning with working through a script, then breaking down the scenes and imagining the look of the film before it is ever on camera. She will divulge amusing bits of stories she’s experienced in her time working on the second season of Downton Abbey, now considered one of the most successful television series ever created.  Following the lecture there will be a short Q&A with Ms. Farr and then a reception with light hors d’oeuvres and drinks as well as a chance to view Dressing Downton. This is an event that every Downton Abbey fan must not miss for an insider’s look into the beloved show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Lecture 7-8 p.m. Reception 8-9 p.m.
