Our newest travel tour takes us west to Rockford, Illinois for an Asian design inspired experience.  Explore what Frank Lloyd Wright called his “Little Gem”.  The Laurent house is the only house Wright designed that was intentionally made to be wheel-chair accessible.  This single-story Usonian home brings functionality, Prairie design style, and Japanese landscaping together.

The next stop takes us to Anderson Japanese Gardens, commissioned by Rockford businessman John Anderson after an inspirational visit to the Portland Japanese Garden.  Learn how this unique Japanese garden combines three essential elements of stone, water, and plants to create harmony in nature.

Fee includes guided tours, lunch, and round-trip transportation by motor coach from the Driehaus Museum.  For questions about accessibility during the tours, please call 312.482.8933, ext. 46.
