Celebrate the life of Cole Porter as Rose Colella and Paul Marinaro pay tribute to this incredible musical icon, who was sure to be a favorite of the young ladies at Downton Abbey.  Porter was a composer and songwriter whose love of musical theater led him to create the Tony award winning musical, Kiss Me, Kate, and write several hit songs during the 1930s and 1940s. Join us for an evening of jazz with drinks and light hors d’oeuvres as you enjoy some of Porter’s most famous numbers, “Anything Goes”, “I Get a Kick Out of You”, and others! Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Regularly seen at The Jazz Showcase & The Green Mill, the Rose Colella Trio also performs at Lawry’s and Hemingway’s Bistro.  Rose also teaches jazz master classes at Northwestern University & Roosevelt University, as well as being the Director of Jazz at The School of Performing Arts & Jazz Voice Instructor at The Chicago Academy for the Arts.

Chicago-based jazz vocalist Paul Marinaro is dubbed as having “one of the most beautiful vocal instruments in the business today” by Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune. Among his many recent performances, in the summer of 2015, Paul performed with The Chicago Jazz Orchestra for a Sinatra Centennial Concert and will begin several tours in the upcoming months.
