Ms. Sexton Kalmbach will present a new lecture inspired by the current exhibition Women of Influence: Chicago’s Leading Ladies which explores progressive women during Chicago’s Gilded Age. The latest lecture illuminates a new grouping of civic-minded, entrepreneurial women who led fascinating lives in the prestigious neighborhoods of Prairie Avenue, McCormickville, and the Gold Coast. Chicago historian, Sally Sexton Kalmbach will highlight the achievements of these remarkable society women who left a lasting imprint on Chicago.
