Presented in partnership with the Rembrandt Chamber Players
Rembrandt Chamber Players salutes the works of English composer Sir Malcolm Arnold by featuring his light but exciting “Suite Bourgeoise,” paired elegantly with the impressionistic sounds of Ravel and Debussy in the Driehaus Museum’s Ballroom.
Founded in the fall of 1990, the Rembrandt Chamber Players is composed of ten of the finest musicians in the Chicago area, including members of the Lyric Opera Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Music of the Baroque. The ensemble successfully maintains an unusually wide repertoire, performing Baroque music in a historically informed manner and twenty-first century compositions with eclectic instrumentations. Rembrandt Chamber Players has, since its inception, actively commissioned twelve works by renowned composers from the Chicago area and beyond.
