“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.” —Mark Twain

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Samuel M. Nickerson Mansion, Richard Henzel will take the audience on an extraordinary voyage into the world of Mark Twain—the man, the author, the literary icon—by combining material from Twain’s novels, short stories, speeches, and essays, as well as improvisation, to re-create an authentic Mark Twain lecture, circa 1906.

Stage, film, television, and voice-over actor Richard Henzel may be best known as one of the two DJ voices on the clock radio in the movie Groundhog Day. However, since 1967 he has performed his one-man show “Mark Twain in Person” in forty states, Canada, Great Britain, and on the Mississippi River. Henzel has self-published 20 Mark Twain audiobooks and appeared with Hal Holbrook at a Mark Twain conference in 2009.
