Serendipitously discovered by French monks in the 17th century, Champagne embodies the best of French craft and tradition. Begin at the Alliance Française de Chicago with a Champagne tasting and talk with an expert sommelier. A trolley will then take you to the Museum to taste a flight of Champagne and explore the special exhibition.

A Toast to the Gilded Age
This intoxicating new series sheds light on the fascinating history of vintage libations, exploring the emergence of the cocktail in the United States during the late 19th century. Featuring a trio of French boissons in celebration of our current special exhibition, each evening will focus on the history and craft of the featured spirit. Light hors d’oeuvres and music will complement the cocktail tasting along with sweet bites courtesy of the French Pastry School. Guests must be 21 years old. These exclusive evenings are limited to fifty participants.
