The Driehaus Museum Store Celebrates Grand Opening July 13

The Driehaus Museum is pleased to announce the grand opening of the Museum Store on July 13, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

The Museum Store offers a carefully curated selection of items inspired by the Museum’s magnificent Gilded Age interiors, decorative arts collections, and period design philosophies. Guests may select from a number of keepsakes featuring Louis Comfort Tiffany’s glassworks, as well as modern and historic architecture books, stationary, tableware, and handmade and fine jewelry. Other distinctive gifts and mementos include postcards, stationary, vases, candles, curios, and more.

“In addition to the recent launch of the Driehaus Museum’s exhibition program, the Museum Store is an exciting part of the continued growth of the Museum’s offerings, which our members and guests have been anticipating,” says Museum Director Lise Dube-Scherr. “The immersive environment that makes the Driehaus Museum so special, continues within the Museum Store. Period furniture from the Driehaus Collection of Fine and Decorative Arts are being utilized as fixtures to artistically display the store’s unique gifts and keepsakes.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place to celebrate the grand opening at 10:30 a.m. on July 13, 2013. Attendance to the special event is complimentary with Museum admission. Light refreshments will be served.

On July 13 only, visitors receive a 15% discount and members receive a 25% discount on all Museum Store purchases. Driehaus Museum members always receive a 10% discount on store merchandise. For more information about membership, please call 312 482 8933, ext. 45 or visit DriehausMuseum.org.
