Entertaining at the Driehaus Museum
Make history with your next special event! Whether planning a private affair, a corporate gathering or a celebratory occasion, the Driehaus Museum provides an elegant and dramatic setting that guests will remember long after your special event concludes.
Located just steps away from the Magnificent Mile, the Driehaus Museum provides a distinct and intimate setting for corporate entertaining and private events. Breathtaking yet intimate, this unique space immerses guests in one of the few remaining palatial mansions erected during America’s Gilded Age. The perfect setting for your cocktail reception or seated dinner.
Few other venues in the United States offer such an opulent setting for your event. With its marble-clad entrance hall, magnificently carved wooden interiors, and beautiful rooms - replete with iridescent mosaics and stained glass windows - the mansion known as the “Marble Palace” exemplifies the very essence of Gilded Age luxury.
Today, the Museum’s interiors also showcase a superb collection of late 19th-century and early 20th-century fine and decorative arts, including major works by artists and designers such as Louis Comfort Tiffany, as well as special exhibitions drawn from the Driehaus Private Collection or from other prestigious museums across the United States.
All events at the Driehaus Museum are catered by the Museum’s exclusive event partner Parties & Special Events by Lettuce Entertain You.
Types of Events
The Driehaus Museum can accommodate a maximum of 125 standing guests for a cocktail reception which includes use of all three floors and access to the galleries and up to a maximum of 50 seated guests for dinner in the Historic Ballroom.
