Our summer travel tour takes us back to the ever-popular Crab Tree Farm in Lake Bluff where historic farm buildings display it’s Arts and Crafts collections in settings that have been purposely designed to reflect the aesthetics of the movement. Enjoy lunch in Lake Forest’s historic Market Square, designed by Chicago’s best-known Arts and Crafts architect, Howard Van Doren Shaw.
After lunch we will visit Van Doren Shaw’s former summer estate, Ragdale.  Built in 1897 on 50 acres of idyllic prairie along Chicago’s North Shore, the estate is now a thriving non-profit artists’ community that carries on the legacy of Arts and Crafts ideals. Ticket price includes transportation, lunch, gratuity, and all tour fees.
