Called “frescoes, if not of the poor, at least of the crowd,” Parisians walking about their city during the 1880s and 1890s found themselves on an urban stage with posters as the backdrop to their daily lives. Exhibition curator, Jeannine Falino will consider the circumstances that brought about the Belle Époque poster, the chief artists engaged in the medium, and its effect upon the city of Paris.
Ms. Falino is an independent curator and museum consultant specializing in American decorative arts, craft, and design from the colonial area to the present.
Ticket Refund Policy: Tickets are fully refundable up to 72 hours prior to the event.
